Candice Green started this petition to Pennsylvania State Senate and

When our justice system fails the children and other family members are willing to go the extra mile we should be allowed to. My sister was living with me for almost two months. I was granted permission to intervene, then temporary guardianship. When the final custody modification came down because I was not her mother or father I had no legal standing I was considered a 3rd party and the case was dismissed. However the child was being abused, neglected and made reports of sexual assault along with drug and alcohol abuse in the home. Children and Youth did not do their due diligence either. Child was told to return to our mother. This was on April 29th, 2021. When the judge ordered child to return home child fled and screamed and cried put me into foster care before I go back there. Child was then taken for a psych evaluation because of suicidal ideations. How much does a child need to scream for help before something is done?

I have gone the extra mile because I care about my sister. I have been trying to make sure she is ok. I can't call the hospital because my mother won't list me for her to call. She took her cell phone away that I had bought her so she had a way to call out for help. How does the system fail these children? Anything I have said can be proven and I have PDF files of everything. Our voices for our families need to be heard before the children are hurt more.
