If a job is required it requires a living wage, that should not be a controversial statement.

The Social Service Workers of Pennsylvania are asked to work with the most vulnerable and needy people in the commonwealth, yet the return for their toil is low and the rate of burnout is high. 

These same Social Service Workers do not receive a living wage. This is not acceptable.

These same Social Service Workers do not receive healthcare, sick leave, or paid time off. This must change immediately.

These same Social Service Workers are asked to work under ALL conditions with NO HAZARD PAY. This can no longer be the case.

It is plain to see to all that this is a preposterous and untenable situation. The people of Pennsylvania have a RIGHT to quality care for the most needy among us. The workers of Pennsylvania have a RIGHT to a living wage, healthcare, and safe working conditions.

IF A JOB IS REQUIRED IT REQUIRES A LIVING WAGE. A LIVING WAGE IS A HUMAN RIGHT.

HEALTHCARE IS REQUIRED FOR HUMAN LIFE AND THUS IS A HUMAN RIGHT.

IF A REASONABLY SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT CAN BE ACHIEVED IT IS A HUMAN RIGHT.

We are DEMANDING that the relevant Federal, State, and Local governments promote AND authorize the unionization of Social Service Workers immediately, so that through collective bargaining we may ensure a living wage, proper benefits, and reasonable conditions for the workers and our patients.
