Mental health facilities and interventions needed for young children

I am the mother of a seven year old girl with mental health issues. She has some extreme behaviors and they have recently escalated in severity and safety. She has been waiting for a bed in an acute psychiatric setting for almost a week. It has come to my attention that there are no beds in the entire state, either because of her age or because of her behaviors and requiring 24 hour supervision to keep her safe. She is about to be discharged, with no help or plan of safety for her. This is unacceptable. My daughter is not the only child in this state who needs mental health interventions. There needs to be facilities for these children. If these children do not receive the interventions they need, what is going to become of them as they get older and become even more unstable and/or uncontrollable? I am asking for everyone’s help in getting our children the help they need and deserve.
