Implement Pennsylvania carbon emissions limit.

As the country's third largest emitter of greenhouse gas carbon dioxide, Pennsylvania should adopt a more aggresive renewable or low carbon energy policy. Pennsylvania should adopt a goal of a 35% reduction in emissions by 2030.
Pennsylvania's emissions have been relatively unchanged over the last 20 years. Adopting this policy would help to spur new investments into the state. In addition, lower emissions would also result in lower ozone, fine particles, and nitrous oxide emissions. This would ensure lower rates of asthma and lung problems, especially in our childen.
Finally, adopting this policy would help mitigate the impact of climate change. The changing climate will increase the chance of both severe flooding and severe drought. Flooding can be especially severe along the Allegheny, Susquehanna, Schuylkill, and Delaware rivers. More droughts will also harm our farming communities and dairy industries, and increase the risk of forest fires. Finally we will see an increase in damaging storms such as the several tornados which touched down in our state recently.
Please sign and encourage action to help make Pennsylvania a renewable and low carbon energy leader.
