Problem
Volunteer firefighters often respond to emergencies from their home, running errands, or at other places.. We are allowed to run a Blue lights in our POV, HOWEVER, many drivers do not see them, nor do they give right of way in a emergency situation. We are putting are own lives at risk to save another or ones property!

Solution
I, as well as others believe that volunteers shall be able to equip their POV with multiple Red lights and sirens. They will only be permitted to be used in the event of responding to an emergency incident.

Personal story
As a volunteer firefighter, I often find it difficult to get to the station while responding to an emergency due to traffic lights and drivers who don't want to yeild the right of way. There are a lot of times I am caught by a stop light that takes a while to change. The use of red lights and a siren on a POV along with changing the law to allow to disregard the stop light in an emergency response would be the most helpful. Blue lights just dont justify are response or the time it takes to get to wherewe need to be... Every second counts when it comes to house fires or mva's.  The longer it takes the more destruction there is, And the longer it takes for an Mva the less of chance of survival.. I would love for all my brothers and sisters throughout the fire fighting world to join .... I am a volunteer fire fighter at multiple companies and I find this issue to be troubling for us responding. Again we all put are lives on the line to save another!! We deserve to get there as fast and as safe as possible.. again eliminate blue lights for us and let every firefighter have red lights and sirens.. you or your family could need help next, just remember that..
