Tell Governor Wolf to allow Outdoor Graduations in PA

Tell Governor Wolf to allow Outdoor Graduations in PA
Why this petition matters
Thousands of 2020 graduates in high schools and colleges alike lost the opportunities to celebrate their educational success as well as the opportunity to properly say goodbye to beloved faculty, staff, and friends. Governor Tom Wolf still does not allow gatherings of more than 250 people in the state of PA, which means that outdoor graduations are almost impossible to have. However, earlier in June, Governor Tom Wolf marched in a Black Lives Matter protest in Harrisburg in which social distancing was difficult and there were more than 250 people who gathered. The first week of July, amusement parks like Hershey and Dorney Parks will be open to guests. Guests will be standing on lines for rides, sitting in the same seat as a stranger, screaming on roller coasters, and touching surfaces that others have also touched. Many collegiate graduates will spend 10-15 years of their hard working lives paying back the education they lost the last part of without ever having closure. We ask that Governor Tom Wolf make an exception to the 250 limit gathering to allow for outdoor graduations with practiced social distancing measures. Let the Class of 2020 who lost the last part of their educational experience be celebrated.
