Joe Paterno "JoePa" was the most dedicated college football coach and Penn State staff on the campus of Penn State University. For more that six decades, this man put his heart and soul into the college football program and led them to more victories than any college football coach on record.

As of recent events, Joe's health status took a turn for the worse, and on Sunday January 22, 2012, Joe Paterno passed from this life, however, the last few months were mixed up in a scandal that he did not deserve to be involved in. When he was fired as coach because of this scandal, the life was drained from his body because Penn State and its students were a mjor part of his life. Besides his family, this school meant everything to him, and he showed this to be true in how he carried himself and in his philantropic deeds not only toward Penn State, but to other charities such as the Special Olympics and Penn State IFC/Panhellenic Dance Marathon.

We would like to petition the Penn State Board of Trustees to consider renaming the stadium after Joe Paterno, to pay respect to a man who was denied this respect at the end of his life, and how gave everything to make the Penn State football program so great!
