Allow military enlisted students to wear military saches to graduation.

Currently Penn Manor School District will not allow myself, and other military enlisted students to wear our sashes to graduation. Under their graduation guidelines the only students allowed to wear sashes are the honor students.
At graduation military students only receive a brief applause during the ceremony. I feel that us enlisted students deserve more than a brief recognition because of what we are doing for our country and our families. We are very passionate about serving our country and take pride in what we're doing so we can have the freedoms and liberties that we want. We have signed contracts with no knowledge of when we will be home once we leave for boot camp. We will miss family vacations and holidays to defend the country we all love.
We live in a community whom think highly and strongly support our military. We do not understand how wearing our sashes to graduation with disrupt the ceremony in any way. To us wearing our sashes represents the passion and pride we have for our country. There are several schools in our area who allow military sashes to be worn.
We are passionate about our right to wear our sashes to graduation to show our commitment to our country and we are seeking the support of our family and friends to stand with us as we pursue this matter with the Penn Manor School District.
Please take a minute to sign our petition which we are hoping to present to the school board on May 15th.
You may also come support us. The board meetings are held at the Board room at Manor Middle school, 2950 Charlestown Road at 7pm.
Thank you in advance and God Bless America.
