With multiple cases of COVID-19 popping up left and right — there have been multiple closings. Notre Dame has closed, even, and a private school closed due to the virus. With a student body of over 3700, and a lot of staff, there are more chances that our school will get infected. We constantly have to touch areas that other people have touched, spreading more and more traces if even just one person has it. They said to avoid mass gatherings — well, what is school? At lunches, there seems to be around 200 if not more people. Winter Guard was cancelled, colleges have switched to online classes — which is an opportunity for us as well, as we have e-learning. It’s dangerous for our health to continue to go to these areas that are surrounded with people who could be carriers of the Virus. Some people have family at home that could die if they contract the virus, so some parents have started to keep their kids home from school to avoid their own deaths. How would you feel if you got the virus and were near death because of your kid going to school? Probably not fantastic. It’s more important to be safe and healthy rather than risk your families lives, isn’t it? Close PHM Schools until this is figured out, please.
