We the undersigned petition Pendle Borough council to urgently act on anti social behaviour and careless driving from parents and taxis using Marsden Hall Road North Nelson, both outside residents homes and Castercliff Primary Academy.
We urge Pendle Borough Council to place a Public Space Protection Order between the hours of 7:30 a.m to 9:30 a.m. and again from 2:30 p.m. through to 4:00 p.m. to prevent what we have observed is a regular and worrying occurrence.
This order will address the very real danger to parents, children and residents from being seriously injured or killed owing to irresponsible parents and taxi drivers who park and speed on this stretch of highway, and for Pendle Council to enforce fixed penalties on parents and taxi drivers who are caught breaking the order.
In addition to the Order, we ask that Pendle Borough council give powers to PCSOs and staff at Castercliff Primary Academy to act on and issue fix penalty notices to whomever breaks the PSPO order and also for the fixed penalty receipts to be divided between Pendle Borough Council and Castercliff Primary Academy.
The local Constabulary, Ward Councillors,Pendle Borough officers and the Principal of Castercliff Primary Academy, recognize a clear and present danger that exists on Marsden Hall Rd North, outside residents homes and the School.
And although measures have been taken and put in place to safeguard children and residents alike these measures have fallen short of curbing the anti social behaviour that has been observed in the last 15 months.
