On Friday June 16, 2017 a group of adults gathered outside of John Fraser Secondary School in Mississauga to spread Islamophobic hate speech. Among the members of the group was a man named Kevin Johnston, known for spreading racist, Islamophobic and homophobic tweets and youtube videos. This petition aims to arrest Kevin Johnston for violating sections 318, 319, 320 and 264.1 of the criminal code of Canada, and to issue a restraining order against him for intentionally targeting and harassing students.

Kevin is a cyberbully. He routinely argues on twitter with minors. He has labelled Canadian high school students as "traitors" and has incited them to "Try Suicide" if they disagree with his views. Kevin spews volatile hate speech and should not be permitted within close proximity to high school students near their institutes of learning.

Sections 318, 319 and 320 of the Canadian criminal code prohibit hate propaganda against any "identifiable group". An identifiable group is defined as "any section of the public distinguished by race, religion, colour, ethnic origin or sexual orientation.

Kevin's twitter states that he wants to "Keep Canada Canadian" and tweeted "Diversity causes division. Time to dispose of multiculturalism". We, as Canadian students, know that Canada's strongest resource is it's people, in all our glorious diversity.
