Allow Regional Arts Program Students to Audition for Other Programs

Regional Arts Programs, while being some of the best programs for students, can also be an utter nuisance. At a Regional Arts school, you see all of these programs that could have been available to you, had you just checked off a different box. But as soon as you enter those halls, that option is put off limits. I find it very unfair to students who dedicate themselves to multiple arts, and audition to one only to find they suit the other better.
I find it very unfair to students who dedicate themselves to multiple arts, and audition to one only to find they suit the other better.
Which is why instead of the typical "switching programs and doubling up on credits" offer these programs get, I've come up with a new proposal; if grade 9 regional arts students wish to audition for another program, they would have to agree to a victory lap to go through with the audition and fulfill all 8 necessary regional arts points with the lower grade, within the 4 year time span originally intended.
Certain programs have specific requirements and restrictions that don't give students enough freedom to participate in other interests. If students still wanted to attend the higher funded more advanced arts program to have extended knowledge in a different craft, this shouldn't be an issue to the school and ensures that these students are dedicated rather than attending to avoid a boundary school.
I know that this doesn't seem like a completely sound option, which is why if this can't be fulfilled, I have a secondary option; to enforce stricter guidelines on the information put on Regional Arts Program information pages. Most programs take advantage of their page as a quick promotion tab, when these pages are supposed to give you insight on how a program is teaching you different things. If the original idea cannot be fulfilled, more information, such as a grade 9 curriculum outline, audition checklist, and a more accessible user-friendly program requirement outline should be accessible.
