Westwood Primary School and St Bede's Primary School pupils request the local community to register their support in our application for a pedestrian crossing to be installed on Westwood Road.

Westwood Road, Clayton-le-woods is a very busy stretch of road containing two bus stops, on street parking and large numbers of pedestrians and vulnerable road users.

It serves as the main exits for Westwood and St Bede's pupils. This means at certain times of day we have 400+ pupils and family members crossing Westwood Road. 

Historically Westwood school have funded the cost of a School Crossing Patrol during drop of and collections times, however we are currently unable to fill the vacancy after months of advertisement.
