Dear Chick-fil-A corporate,

We realize that the new fruit shooters for shakes were an attempt to make it easier for us on desserts. They were supposed to be better because we wouldn't have to fill shooters, thereby reducing mess and time to fill them. We thank you for your thought behind this.

However, it seems as though the cost far outweighs the benefit of this change. Many of us despise them. They are frustrating to change out the bag, especially during a rush. They don't necessarily reduce the mess because they sometimes shoot out uncontrollably when we first try to get it started. They add to the time, not take away from it. In addition, the portions in the bags are smaller than what could fit in the other shooters, so they run out faster and therefore have to be changed more often.

On the other hand, the older shooters were never a pain. There was a small amount of fruit that would get on the sides of the shooters which was simple to clean up. It only took about five minutes to refill all the shooters we needed. And it was effortless to change them out during a rush. Overall, they were much easier to handle because of the size difference as well.

Again, please know that we appreciate you trying to improve one part of the system. Sometimes changes are a huge success, but unfortunately this was a huge letdown. For the future, we would very much appreciate being able to put feedback into potential changes because we are the ones who physically work with them daily and could know if they would help or hurt. If we have any voice at all, we implore that you would hear and act upon this.
