During the hot weather teachers are able to dress for their day. We are seeing rising temperatures and while you (Abbeyfield) have adapted slightly and allowed our children to not wear blazers (Thank you) …. it seems the rules are different for teachers who have the ability to dress for their day and our children are still expected to wear a shirt and also trousers !! It seems there is a lack of common sense and fairness applied here when many other secondary schools are allowing children to wear pe kits.

So this petition is to ask you (Abbeyfield) to work with parents when we see rules that are not fair /practical and don’t align with how other schools function and sensibly consider your rules around uniform in the current heat wave and allow our children to wear pe kit till the end of the school year 22! Or alternatively teachers could attend in trousers and a shirt to show that their welfare is not more important than that of our children.
