The commercial property’s been in existence for a multitude of decades. Originally serving/ benefiting the community. Currently it is a hang out, an obstruction to the flow of traffic, an unkept area for liter, a resting place for garbage cans, an extra parking area for commercial vehicles, an outdoor urinal, and home of unwanted congregating. It doesn’t uphold the values of hard working home owners and seems to function more like a bar or adult clubhouse. With the uptick of violence in areas, especially where people seem to congregate- this is a hazard, an incident waiting to happen. 

The mere sight deters families from setting roots in the community. It devalues the homes and doesn’t make the children  of the community  feel protected or safe  to walk pass the area with all of the traffic that lives inside and outside of the establishment. 

Not many people in the community frequent it. The patrons that the store does attract have take  control of, and monopolize the little parking that is meant for those who want to enjoy recreation in the park. It give the Town of Greenburgh a reason to not maintain the parks facilities due to the limited “ park goers”. Therefore the store not only has a direct / indirect effect on the residents’ quality of life, the value of the homes i the area, the  recreational resources deployed, the safety/ security of families, but the overall aesthetics of the community. It need to GO. 

Demand that the Town of Greenburgh close the store, enforce the parking regulations, and restore the safety and wholesomeness  in the community!
