Pay NHS staff agency rate.  NHS will collapse due to all staff prefer agency pay rate because they pay 3 times more than NHS staff. There is no incentive to work for NHS at the moment and permanent staff pay is not good enough. Agency workers gets £35-£45 an hour or more which is 3 times more than NHS staff on band 5 or 6. Staffing issues will stop as soon as possible if the government pay NHS staff same as agency rate or more than agency rate. As soon as students qualify and Start working for NHS the best option for them to earn better pay is to join an agency and this is where the staff shortages coming from.
