Fix Webster’s Chapel Road or we will quit spending money in your city and county.

Webster’s Chapel/Cobb City Road is dangerous! 

The road has been repaired many times, but it never seems to be able to withstand the rain and 18-wheelers. I’m hoping that the city and Etowah County Commission will make the right decision in repaving the entire road up to the county line. I keep thinking Etowah will step up and realize that there are MANY people that travel that road from Calhoun to Etowah to spend $$$.

I’m adamant about the road being paved in the very near future. It’s been this way for far too long. It’s almost a daily occurrence to meet an 18-wheeler because of the Clean Earth plant on that road AND logging trucks coming over the mountain. You have to come to a complete stop when meeting another vehicle in some spots of the road or you will lose a tire. 

 It is ruining the suspensions of our vehicles. Not to mention the safety issues with all the wrecks on the turn coming up the hill and before Clean Earth. When the road is wet due to the poor surface and constant breakdown, a rear wheel drive vehicle is very dangerous as the surface is extremely slick.

It is time to fix the road or keep our money in Calhoun County. The City of Glencoe knows everyone coming down that road is coming to spend money there and help their economy but that is obviously not appreciated.
