We have all heard how much we mean to the owners of Lulu’s and how day to day operations would not be possible without us. In contrast, we have also heard about flat tires and vehicles being broken into/set on fire while parked in the dimly lit,  barely maintained area that is the employee parking lot. So WHY, after literal years of complaints about the employee lot and zero compensation from Lulu’s due to damages to vehicles, are we still being threatened with termination if we decide that this area is not acceptable for the vehicles that we work so hard for to be parked in?! Pave the parking lot (like they are in Destin and North Myrtle Beach), and add visible, working security cameras, so if any “unfortunate circumstance” should take place, employees would have some sort of prosecutorial ground to stand on. It is no secret that the employees spend an insurmountable amount of time at Lulu’s, especially during the peak season in the summer, so it is not unreasonable to request an acceptable space to park our vehicles.
