Remove First-Year Signature Courses from UT Requirements

Students who attend UT are familiar with the signature courses (UGS 302 and 303) that all first-year students are required to take. Many of you may know that these courses are intended as transition courses into college-level learning in order to spark new interests and learn necessary skills that are deemed detrimental to college success.
However, the courses that most may find interesting are highly demanded and are therefore always waitlisted. Furthermore, some students may argue that these particular courses are harder than other courses that are offered here at UT. They tend to require much more work and time commitment than the average college course. Please help rid UT of this unfavorable requirement.
