Allow complete teams of women to compete in the coed Dekhockey League

A new rule in Dekhockey recently updated for the coed or adult league has capped the amount of women per team to 5. This limits complete women’s teams to compete against other coed teams as well as complete men’s teams.
A complete women’s team birthed in the summer of 2017 collectively made a decision to compete in the D4+ league beginning with the 2018 season and before the rule change went into effect.
This team consisted of some of the biggest competitors in their own respective league and united to challenge their skills, drive and passion for the game. Their want to expand into the adult league is attributed to the dedication to the organization and sport. The team accepts the risk involved with playing against complete men’s teams including being treated as equals. Injury risks are higher and the team soberly accepts those responsibilities.
The all-women’s team does not want special treatment other than be allowed to stay together as 10 women on one team allowed to play in the adult league.
Reversing the new rule paves the way for other women on their rise in the sport and shows to the public as well as the players how far the sport and the players have evolved.
Inclusion of all women’s teams exhibits possibilities of more growth to the sport and to its players.
Please support the team with your signature as we try to reverse the new rule. #LetThemPlay
