Remove the Second Step lessons from TGA/Advisory
Many 8th graders and freshmen feel that the Second Step curriculum taught in TGA/Advisory is not useful, not fun, or targeted at the wrong group of people. It seems to be a profound and brilliant idea, for the people that need it, but the general population of the school is not this group. The preferred solution by many would simply be a free study hall block. To those who believe that the education provided is necessary, please visit 8th and 9th grade classrooms and you will find signs of extreme uninterest and non-participation, which further conveys my point. Ask any student in one of these “classes” and they will say something negative about them. Please correlate students in these classes to their grades and any possible disciplinary actions before mandating that they receive the assistance of these classes.
