Why this petition matters

Started by Cameron Redmond

The biodiversity of the Professor's Lake parks are disappearing, turning them into the same old boring park. These 60+ year old trees need to be preserved and it's up to us to save them.

Just putting your signature here can make a difference. Residents that live near professors lake are enraged due to the giant willow trees being cut down. The trees are being Chopped down so they can remove the inner layer of concrete in the river, expanding it. Daniel Bergner, a resident of Professors Lake, put up signs on the remaining trees saying: “stop, this is an old growth tree,” and “it will take 60 years to see another tree like this.” (The Brampton Guardian)

We must make a difference, we must save the trees.

Our goal is 500 signatures, so we can send this to Mayor Patrick Brown, and get him to #SaveTheWillows.
