Why this petition matters

Started by Alyssa Shumac

Patients at ACMC facilities are not receiving the care they deserve from both the medical staff as well as the administration. The facility has again and again covered up their mistakes, wrongful deaths, they have denied patients access to their medical records, denied patients follow up care, have done unnecessary procedures, have prescribed unnecessary medications, have made misdiagnosis, have failed at their bedside manner and have failed at procedures leading to patient pain and suffering and administration has aided them every step of the way. ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. The people of Ashtabula County and surrounding area deserve to have high quality health care they can depend on and that is why we need to stand up together as a community and be heard.

The hospital needs to be more closely monitored and regulated to put a stop to the problems that are occurring. The staff, including administration need to have monthly evaluations done on them by their randomly selected patients/clients that goes above and beyond the CMS patient satisfaction survey. The evaluations need to be reviewed by somebody not affiliated with ACMC to avoid bias.  The disciplinary actions for those with misconduct of these new regulations need to be carried out quickly and the penalties need to be more severe, with penalties increasing with every new complaint against the staff member. More then three complaints against an ACMC staff member should result in their immediate termination without benefits or letter of recommendation.

If things at ACMC do not improve the people of Ashtabula County will go to the press with the matter and take it all the way to a public protest in front of the hospital.

Have You Or Somebody You Love Been Wronged By An ACMC Facility? Do you feel we all deserve to have quality health care by a hospital we can trust?       Stand Up And Be Heard.
