Condemnation of the Azerbaijani and Turkish Aggression and Help for the Republic of Artsakh and Armenia

The Azerbaijani and Turkish Governments are Abominations to the Lord (Proverbs 6: 16-19)

Recognitions and Condemnations

We recognize the country of Armenia was the first established Christian nation as of 301 AD

We recognize that under the hands of Muslim persecutors over 1.5 million Armenians were murdered (1894-1923) in their historical homelands, now known as Turkey.

We recognize the nation of Armenia, and the Republic of Artsakh as sovereign and historical Armenian lands.

We condemn the Azerbaijani and Turkish military aggression against Artsakh and Armenia, that was initiated by the Azerbaijani forces against Artsakh, on September 27, 2020.

We recognize that the Azerbaijani and Turkish military and governments are an abomination to the Lord, as in their pride, they devise wicked plans, seek to do evil, and shed innocent blood.

We condemn the lies and deception used by the Turkish and Azerbaijani governments to insight hatred against Armenians, and as a pretense to invade Artsakh.

We recognize that the Azerbaijani and Turkish military and governments are an abomination to the Lord, as they bear false witness, and having lying tongues which sows discord in the region.

Recommendations for Justice

“Rescue those who are being taken away to death” (Proverbs 24:11)

We recommend our church members contact their senators and congressmen to demand the following:

1. Immediate and public condemnation of the hostile actions of the nations of Azerbaijan and Turkey.

2. Immediate removal of all aide from Azerbaijan and Turkey. (Military and other US aide.)

3. Economic sanctions on Azerbaijan and Turkey.

4. Immediate closure and removal of the Incirlik Air Base in Adana, Turkey.

5. Turkey to be removed from NATO.

6. Immediate cease of Israel's sale of weapons to Azerbaijan.

7. Israel to cease purchasing oil and gas from Azerbaijan. (40% of Israel's oil currently comes from Azerbaijan.)

8. US recognition of the sovereignty of the Republic of Artsakh, as a nation.

9. A formal declaration recognizing the Armenian Genocide of 1915.

10. Strengthening of political and economic ties with Armenia, and the Republic of Artsakh.

Proverbs 24: 11-12: Rescue those who are being taken away to death; hold back those who are stumbling to slaughter. If you say, “Behold, we did not know this,” does not he who weighs the heart perceive it? Does not he who keeps watch over your soul know it, and will he not repay according to his work? " (Proverbs 24: 11-12).

Proverbs 6: 16-19:  There are six things that the Lord hates, seven that are an abomination to him. Haughty eyes, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, A heart that devises wicked plans, feet that make haste to run to evil, A false witness who breathes out lies, and one who sows discord among brothers.
