Impossible to cross the street here in Houghton, even in a marked crosswalk IN FRONT OF THE POLICE STATION!! This is crazy. What's UP Michigan!

What a backward state. One must be in good shape to cross the street in Houghton, the crosswalk in front on the police station means nothing. I personally have been standing in the marked crosswalk and a police cruiser didn't even pause. That is BS. Pull your heads out MI and enter the modern age.

We need consistency to support safety for pedestrians, bicyclists, and drivers.

I am in favor of pedestrian rights, but the current Ann Arbor law which requires drivers to guess the intent of a pedestrian isn't reasonable.

Ann Arbor tried to make things better and safer for pedestrians but their local law was confusing with different signage all over the city and no resources spent to educate people.

I was rear ended when I stopped for a pedestrian in Ann Arbor.

I live and drive in Ann Arbor and have seen many dangerous incidents since the City passed its latest Crosswalk codes. A State-wide code would be a good thing to put everyone on the same page and make enforcement easier and more effective.

It's too confusing having different laws in each city.
