Mittye P. Locke, one of the oldest elementary schools in Pasco County, nears the heart of New Port Richey, a small town on the West Coast of Florida. My mom and dad drove both of my older sisters, my younger brother, and myself to days filled with PLACE daycare, mathematics worksheets, countless Halloween parades, perfect attendance assemblies, and field days that i still remember vividly. It breaks my heart knowing this school that had such a positive impact on the community is at risk of closing down. This school changed the way children approached school and how they thought about education, and we’d be doing ourselves a disservice and a disservice to the future generation to take away a place filled with so much joy and a true love for learning. The teachers at this school are some of the best role models this county, nay this state, has to offer. Help me help New Port Richey by signing this petition to keep Mittye P. Locke alive and flourishing. Mittye P. gave my family a combined 20 years of education and memories, and we can’t let this be the end. Thank you and fly eagles fly!!!!
