SAVE A PERSON FROM HOMELESSNESS IN PASCO COUNTY
Dear Mike Moore, Chairman, Pasco County Board of County Commissioners
We, the community, support the proposed opening of the Homeless Navagation Center. To help remedy our homeless crisis in Pasco County. The Pasco sheriff's office already backs the opening and location where the proposed facility will go. Funding is already in place. There are already homeless people living in the woods surrounding this building now. This will allow a place for them to receive assistance in getting proper state identification and job counseling and a bed at night off of these ever more dangerous streets. The 1st steps anyone that is homeless needs to get back to a place where they CAN support themselves. There is no current system to help homeless people get a home in Pasco with the exception of jail. This would be the first and most humane thing our community can do.
