Following the registration for the Sping 2022 semester in the Parsons BFA fashion design program, a large portion of students are waitlisted for their core classes in their chosen pathways. The Collection pathway, being the most popular of the four offered by the school, filled up extremely quickly and left a large number of frustrated students on waitlists. Adding to this frustration is also the difficult registration process, and vague descriptions of the courses and pathways offered. There is little to no room to mix and experiment simultaneously between pathways.  We are asking the program to remedy this by providing enough sections so that all students can take core classes in the pathway they desire and provide a more comprehensive and open opportunity for students to play between different pathways without losing momentum.
