Give Jeff Back His Job

Jeffrey has been a valued and beloved employee of San Dimas Community Hospital since the age of eighteen. After losing his mother roughly a year ago, Jeffrey also lost her home due to being unable to afford to continue the upkeep. Jeffrey stays either on the street or at a motel, when he can afford it. He uses public transportation to get to medical appointments, etc. Despite these hardships, Jeffrey continued to come in to work as a Food and Nutrition Services employee, faithfully. A few months ago Jeffrey transferred to our Environmental Services Department. Jeffrey, after working day shift for many years, switched to a night shift. What you may not know, is that Jeffrey also suffers from medical issues that increase his hardship, and one of the major side effects of his condition is fatigue. Couple this morning with a work schedule like night shift and we can all understand why Jeffrey may have dozed off at the end of his shift a few weeks ago. Two of Jeff's coworkers decided to snap a photo of him sleeping and turn this information in to Human Resources. Jeffrey was terminated after decades of loyal employment. This is a direct threat to his health, safety, and a callous and inhumane treatment to inflict upon one of our best employees. As a community hospital charged with implementing programs and practices that benefit your community, and by the 501c(3) tax status you hold, this action against Jeffrey is in direct conflict with "community based healthcare." We have created this petition to ask that you, Parrish Scarboro, reinstate Jeffrey as a full-time employee with Prime Healthcare at San Dimas Community Hospital.
