Deny Parole For Colonel Bolen: JUSTICE FOR SHARON

February 2, 2018, will mark the seven year anniversary that my mother, Sharon Jean Smith, was shot six times in a senseless act of violence. On February 1, 2018, her shooter, Colonel Bolen, will have a parole hearing to determine his eligibility for release. I start this petition, to deny him parole and an early release. My mother suffers the consequences of his actions every single day. She is basically serving a life term, confined to a wheelchair, or laying in a hospital bed in a nursing home. She will never walk again, and suffers from short term memory loss. She had missed out on being there for her children and grandchildren. This man, was only punished for a maximum of 30 years. A small time in comparison to what my mother was sentenced to when he decided to pull that trigger. It would not be fair to her, it would not be JUSTICE, if he was allowed to be free and continue his life when she can not. He deserves to serve every day, every week, every month, and every year of his time. I'm fearful, that if this psychopath was released back onto our streets, the damage he could do to someone else and their family. I ask help, to make sure this man pays fully for his crime. Thank you.
