In recent times the media has highlighted violence against women.  Women of all ages have been sharing their fears about walking alone, more and more women are also sharing their own stories of harassment and sexual violence.  The average man has a physical advantage over the average woman, making confrontations advantageous towards the attacker in these situations.  The law needs to change to allow women to protect themselves, and to feel safer.  Something as simple as pepper spray, can save lives, and stop sexual attacks, yet pepper spray and any item for self-defence is illegal in the U.K.  Please sign this petition, whether you are a man or a woman, help women in the U.K to feel safer and to be safer.  Give your Mother, your sisters, and daughters the right to protect themselves and to stay safe.
