If you buy a New Home from any house builder and the house has faults/issues you have no legal recourse. The law needs to change to allow new home buyers to have the right to legally reject their house if not fit for purpose. Currently home owners can’t reject their home and have to deal with the house builder to try to resolve issues and mostly this is an uphill struggle. Their has been cases where the houses supplied are not as marketed or as promised leaving many disappointed home owners. Houses where the heating doesn’t work or the standard of work is under par. Faulty appliances which are meant to be new. Damage to fixings and floors caused by poor workmanship. This has to stop and the rights of millions of homeowners need to be protected. A rejection would allow the homeowner to a full refund legally.
