The utterly incompetent Tory MP for South Staffordshire became education secretary in 2019 only to be sacked by PM Boris Johnson during his September 2021 cabinet reshuffle over the exam and school closure fiasco during the Covid pandemic.

Mr Williamson has also previously been sacked from the cabinet by former PM Theresa May over a leak from the National Security Council.

Mary Bousted, joint general secretary of the National Education Union said: “If there was a wrong decision to be made, Gavin Williamson unerringly made it.” This is cronyism at its worst and must be stopped in its corrupt tracks.
