As of 2023 the pigments 15 (blue) and 7 (green) will be banned from tattoo ink in the EU. These pigments are used in over half of the tattoo inks on the market and could potentially have a damaging effect on the tattoo industry if taken away. There is no sufficient research to determine these pigments are unsafe for the body unlike many general products used by the population on a day to day basis.

The aim of this petition is to protect these pigments within the uk and continue the manufacturing of these inks for the benefit of both tattoo artists and clients.
