Lisa Hayward started this petition to Parliament (Uk government) and

I have not seen my 22 year old autistic son for over 6 months now. Like so many of those who require the supportive environment of a care home, they are now in a position where missing their family is a painful reality. I have been advised by the care home I can see him in the community, following social distancing rules.
My son is very routine focused and is used to spending time with me in our home and is a tactile young man that enjoys a cuddle. Every day l speak to him and every day my heart breaks a little more, when he asks when he can come home and see me next.

His care team are doing a good job and I want to applaud them for their hard work in such unchartered times, however I cannot and will not allow this uncertainty to continue. The thought of this issue not being resolved in time for his birthday in October is distressing him on a daily basis, let alone thinking that this may still be of issue for Christmas!

I understood in the beginning that keeping everyone safe was a priority. Yet now when things are starting to open up to still find we are in the same position, with no way forward. I am saddened that this group of people are grossly disadvantaged in achieving a basic human right - right to family and private life (article 8 of the human rights act).

Please may l ask you to take the time to click that you would like parliament to look at this as a matter urgency.
