Resignation of the prime minister

Resignation of the prime minister
I feel sorely disappointed about the leadership of this government. It has behaved as an elite serving its own needs and abused the trust of the people. The recent disclosures about Christmas parties and social gatherings at Downing Street whilst the rest of the country was in lockdown and whilst families couldn’t say goodbye to their loved ones dying alone in isolation is a profound expression of disassociation and disconnect between those in power and the people they represent. What has happened to servant leadership, doing the right thing and values of integrity, honesty, trust, respect for life and accountability? The past couple of years have been utterly painful and extremely difficult for thousands of people in the UK who have lost their jobs, their livelihoods, loved ones and their lives. We need to rethink this. We need to take the power back into our hands and let those politicians know that enough is enough. We are watching them and they are accountable to us, the people. A new leadership is needed, one that listens to and serve the people, the planet and not an elite or a market. It’s time to create an economy based on the wellbeing and happiness of the people and health of the planet. It’s time for this prime minister, Boris Johnson to go, to resign. He is not above the law. They are not above the law. We want a new leadership to represent and serve the needs of the people and the planet.
