My grandmother of 83 and my mother of 67 and 358 + other elderly former taxi operators are now being told that their Bus Operating business will be taken away from them in a couple of months and that they must thereafter see to finish on how they shall sustain themselves and their families. Added to this 300 jobs will be lost in the process. This is after the government took away their taxis and scrapped them with a promise of a better life. The government is using the National Land & Transport Act section 41 to impose this suffering. Through the City of Johannesburg Municipality the government has taken the BRT system (Phase 1A - Reyavaya) business out for tender. Please help us stop this atrocity.
