Kaifi Rahman started this petition to Parliament Of India

The contentious Citizenship (Amendment) Bill will be tabled in the winter session of parliament that commences on Monday and is scheduled to continue until December 13. The Bill seeks to amend The Citizenship Act, 1955, and is aimed at granting Indian citizenship to Hindu, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi and Christian refugees from Pakistan, Bangladesh and Afghanistan.

It is against the Article 14 of the Indian Constitution. Article 14 of the Constitution of India provides for equality before the law or equal protection within the territory of India. The State shall not deny to any person equality before the law or equal protection of law within the territory of India Rule of law 1.Absence of arbitrary power or supremacy of the constitution

2.Equality before law

3.The constitution is the result of ordinary law of the land.

Then, what do you think is the motive of the government to bring CAB?

We are not discussing jobs, we are not discussing closure of factories, we are not discussing the massive slide in growth rate. We are discussing CAB. It is the divisive polarising agenda of the BJP government. The economy has collapsed and the government does not want us to discuss it. So, CAB and related issues are the best way to change the narrative and deflect attention from real issues.
