Jane Wallace started this petition to Parliament of Australia

For The Love of Brian.

I lost my dad 8 weeks ago to Terminal Cancer, from the time dad was diagnosed to the time he pasted away was six weeks. Dad did not die from the cancer but from starvation, dad was losing at least 7 kilos a week he became so fragile and weak, he no longer wanted to be here, as we had lost our beautiful mum 12 months earlier and he just wanted to be with her, dad was 80.

Dad was in constant pain, would not eat, and towards the end could not even get out of bed. He should not have suffered the way that he did and my family should not have had to watch this happen.Voluntary Assisted Dying has just been approved in Victoria and we urgently need it approved in WA so no other family has to go through what we have. Every person that is diagnosed with a Terminal Illness should have the right to have access to Voluntary Assisted Dying.

I will forever struggle with seeing my darling dad die in this way.
