Media laws should protect the privacy of people with addictions and mental illness.

People struggling with addictions or mental illness deserve the chance to battle the sickness privately, without the stress and pressure of being scrutinised and exploited publically.

Our laws, give media outlets permission to make money from publicising stories about people in our society who are most vulnerable, and it's time we all take action.

We are calling on the Parliament of Australia, to review our media laws, to protect people with alcohol or drug addictions.

A prime example, is Ben Cousins, who has been in and out of jail and deserves a break from being in the media spotlight.
