I believe that the Drug and Alcohol  testing of our sitting members of Parliament regardless of  Political affiliation or position  should be Drug and Alcohol   tested   in accordance with  the laws concerning  Occupational Health and Safety  .
 The importance of people working in  positions   such as the Aviation industry  are liable to have organised  and random tests carried out by CASA  . The reasoning being is that these people are involved in undertaking  critical tasks in their everyday work in  a similar manner that we expect from  our  Honourable Members of Parliament  and I feel that  this is not and unreasonable  demand.
 It has been rumoured  for many years that many of the members  have been drunk or under the influence of  narcotics  or alcohol  or both  whilst sitting making the laws of this country .
 It is not unreasonable that  the  to expect that these  people should be  be tested  as their tasks  that they perform  involve life and death   including  many  other complex aspects . Parliament  was  responsible for making and passing the laws  involving all the  OH&S Laws that keep Australians safe and working safe for the benefit of others   in Australia.

 I expect the same penalties  served as in Australia'  workplaces
