MSG should be recognised and listed as a food allergy by food venders
My sister has recently received a diagnosis of chron's disease after years of suffering, and finding foods which she can eat safely is difficult at the best of times. However, one ingredient which has a devastating impact on her health is the use of MSG in foods and restaurants. However, MSG is not currently recognised as an allergen or listed as being used in foods. Many restaurants do not understand the impact this can have on people who live with chron's disease or that it can end with the person being hospitalised or worse. I would like restaurants and food venders to recognise that MSG can have a very strong negative impact on people living with chron's disease and to actively advertise the use in their foods so people can make a more informed decision about where they eat. Thank you for taking the time to read this and would appreciate your signature.
