Nicholas Donner started this petition to Parliament

Too many hard working Non resident parents living in poverty because the Child Maintenance Service think it’s acceptable to use an “across the board %” deduction without means testing basic living standards.

The idea of this petition is to allow every NRP a chance to survive. It is our human right to live in a home, a human rights Act the U.K. signed up too. Exactly why does the child maintenance think it’s ok to deduct money from any person without allowing them at least the basic living allowances.

this petition urges the government to reconsider how the CMS makes its calculation, allowing for standard living should include the equal amount the person would receive in benefits if he or she was not working, this is the amount the government say you need to live on....... so we urge the government to honour that for everybody.

a calculation should be based on the disposable income after basic living allowances are made.

the human rights Act note that mothers with children are entitled to a special benefit but fails to acknowledge this is to be paid by the NRP.

should the government fail to honour everybody’s human right, the next stage would be to request international intervention with a view of shutting down the CMS with force if necessary.
