Loved ones get admitted with life changing illnesses and being able to hug and get reassurance from a loved one can speed the recovery. We are being denied our human rights by seeing and helping people in hosptial and care homes. Measures can be put in place to keep everyone safe without the complete denial of human contact from family. The elderly are especially frightened and need their family and friends to help them. When someone is nearing end of life or even just so poorly that they cannot talk due to a stroke etc. why are we being denied the right to make them feel comforted and settled. This is a proven fact that human contact by a loved one can help with the healing and the loved one can be their voice. This need to be changed and now. Covid is not going away but we are losing vital time with our families.
