In the wake of Brexit, in January 2020 the government have voted to end UK student having the right to easy access to study in 27 countries under Erasmus, restricting the rights of child refugees and abolishing EU standards on workers rights. New Clause 10 ten would have required the government to seek to negotiate continuing full membership of the EU's Erasmus education and youth programme.

The impact this will have on child refugees is devastating. Regardless of if you voted for the conservatives or not, this is majorly restricting the opportunities provided to working class students.  After years of austerity, we are now completely closing off young people to opportunities outside of the uk. I have yet to see any plausible reason for this. We claim to want a brighter, more stable future for our children, but actions such as this display how little the UK government cares about the opportunities of young people who simply cannot afford to fund working/education abroad, unlike the Eton bred Borish Johnson.

I urge you to have some compassion and stand by the youth of today to fight back against this atrocity.
