We need to change the rules of sectioning people for suicidal issues or tendencies.
too many times now a patient is sent home because they’ve attempted to take their own life but promise not to do it again. Only to succeed.
Or police officers are called to a domestic where a vulnerable person has threatened to take their own life, for them not to be able to do a thing because the person seems ‘mentally stable & coherent’ according to the text book & then for the person succeed.  Both tragically, real life situations that have resulted in
My family having now lost a brother & nephew to suicide. Too many lives recently have been lost to suicide.
Something has to be done.
I truly believe most of these deaths could be prevented if they could be sectioned & looked after in a secure mental health facility until they are truly well enough .
most people with mental health issues push their loved ones away so in the end they feel they have no one. We need to step in before this.
prevention is the key.
please sign this petition so we can get parliament to listen & consider our plight
