We, as students at Parkway West High School, are given too much homework. Not all of it is necessary, and it just stresses out students who already have so much work to do as it is. We propose to cut down on homework and give students more time to do the things they enjoy. Students will have more time for social life and health. We will have more time to learn about the things we enjoy.

One solution is to give homework, but make it optional, only making major assignments such as essays and study guides for a grade. While essays and study guides are important to the well being and functionality of students, small assignments take up time and mental capacity used on other things in our life.

If school is not a place to sleep, then home is not a place to work.
