Ladies and Gentlemen of the Neighborhood surrounding Roy Wilkin’s Park,

We’re trying to get an off-leash area for our furry friends. We have parks, sport fields, community gardens, etc. but there are no open spaces for our dogs in southern east Queens. Wouldn't you want your dog to have a local open field to run around, make friends, and burn off the energy they build throughout the day? There are dog runs in certain areas of Queens, but on the northern end.

Public data estimates approximately 404,911 people live in zip codes that directly border Roy Wilkin's park in St Alban's(Jamaica, Brookville, Rosedale, Laurelton).

After speaking with a manager of the cities Parks Department, we've come to the realization that there has been an uptick in animal complaintsand looking over the unused area, we've gained confidence in knowing we can make this happen if we all come together!
