Parkrun is on a Saturday morning, and local events have been using public defibs, but it is now parkrun policy that each team will have an AED as part of their kit for sole use at the event. The AEDs are normally purchased through local runners crowfunding or public donations. But parkrun HQ interpret "sole use" strictly, and forbid local parkruns to lend their defibs to local groups during the week, i.e. cafes run by volunteers in the park near the start. As a consequence the defibs sit in some volunteer shed from Saturday to the following Saturday, and can't be used to save lives during the week. 

We would like parkrun HQ to change its policy to allow lending out defibs.
